What is a Private Label Site (PLS)?
A Private Label Site (PLS) is a web-based assessment
site that features your company name and logo using our powerful, yet simple,
dashboard that can integrate into your own website. This provides personal and
professional branding for you.
A PLS allows you to manage your own online assessment website
and enjoy the features and services of the main Assessment Business Center
platform as your own without having to invest in creating the online assessment
technology and infrastructure yourself. Your PLS works the same way as the main
Assessment Business Center site; however it incorporates your logos, colors,
links and layout.
Every PLS is a turnkey, automated, revenue-generating
assessment site designed to enhance your services and earn profits with minimal
additional effort on your part. Tell us your assessment needs by completing this
short questionnaire and we’ll get
back to you so you can demo our system platform and test drive the assessments
of interest to you.
Two Types of Private Label Sites
1. You can choose to use one or more of our
off-the-shelf assessments
2. We can custom program your unique assessment onto our platform

How
We Customize Your Unique Assessment onto Your PLS
Our Assessment Business Center (ABC) team, with over 15 years
of experience creating online assessment sites, manages all the details in the
customization your unique assessment onto your PLS. We gather all the
information needed from you to customize your Private Label Site, such as:
- Type of assessment(s) desired – a totally
customized assessment and/or one or more of our
ABC off-the-shelf assessments.
- Self-assessment or 360º (multi-rater) assessment.
If 360º assessment, we’ll need:
- The names of the observer groups (these are the
people who give assessment feedback to the end users, such as manager,
colleague, direct report, client, etc.)
- When creating a customized assessment for your Private
Label Site, we’ll need:
- The competencies being measured (such as
decision-making, persuasiveness, drive and persistence, etc.);
- The questions per competency (typically 5-8
questions per competency);
- The scales used to measure the competency on
any given question (such as strongly agree to strongly disagree, always
to never, etc.);
- Whether or not you want open-ended feedback
questions for the observers to add additional comments after every
competency or at the end of the entire questionnaire.
- The end user report structure –
- “Static” report (same report copy for all end
users with only their results graphs being different);
- “Dynamic” report (the report copy changes
based on the end user’s answers to either individual questions or entire
categories of questions);
- Will the report be delivered in html format
right after the end user submits answers to the questionnaire;
- Will the report be emailed in PDF format to
the end user;
- Will the end user have to log into a website to
access their report (usually used with 360º assessments)?
-
Review some sample reports.

Who Would Benefit From a PLS?
1. Corporate trainers or managers & independent trainers,
consultants or coaches who use more than 250 assessments per year.
2. Companies, trainers or consultants who have their own
assessment in a paper-based format but would like to automate it into a fully
automated e-commerce enabled assessment system.
3. Companies, trainers or consultants that already have and
market an online assessment but want to use the power and simplicity of the ABC
fully automated e-commerce enabled assessment system. Ken Blanchard Companies is
a great example as they have several of their assessments consolidated onto the
ABC assessment platform. An example would be their
Leadership Behavioral Analysis II online assessment.
4. Companies, trainers or consultants that currently
distribute assessments from one of our ABC competitors but want a more powerful,
yet simple-to-use, fully automated e-commerce enabled assessment system with
better reports at a lower cost per assessment. A great success story here is
Bonnie Burn and her
DISC Certification Program (live or
online) who used to distribute the DISC assessment through an ABC competitor but
now uses our DISC online assessment because of its ease-of-use, its better
pricing and its superior reports.
5. Authors who would like to have an online assessment to
complement their book, generate sales for their book, or create an additional
“up-sell” product for people who buy their book. For their new book – The One
Minute Entrepreneur – Dr. Ken Blanchard, Don Hutson and Ethan Willis asked ABC
to create an online
Entrepreneur Assessment to sell more
books.
6. Companies, trainers or consultants who want to use an
online assessment to measure training effectiveness – a pre- and post-test
– to show improvement and keep employees and/or clients motivated to continually
improve their skills, in areas such as leadership, sales, customer service,
emotional intelligence, time management, communication skills, etc.
7. Companies, trainers or consultants who want to use an
online assessment to capture leads to add to their database to hopefully
cross-sell additional products and services over time. An example would be Mark
Sanborn and his
Encore Effect online assessment.
We at ABC are assessment professionals. Our team has been in
the assessment business since 1976. ABC has perfected an online assessment
engine that can run any assessment on any topic – seamlessly, flawlessly and
cost effectively.
ABC online assessments are accessed and completed on the
Internet. Our fully automated site requires no support from you – we handle that
function for you. Our sophisticated programming scores and dynamically generates
reports and eGraphs providing highly personalized feedback to the end user.

What is the Cost of a Private Label Site?
ABC builds most standard Private Label Sites in less than
thirty days for the following three charges:
- ABC charges a one-time Private Label Site programming and
training fee that allows us to build and brand your site and train you how
to use it. Pricing depends on the amount of customization and training
requested.
- If you want a
PLS consisting of our existing ABC assessments,
the typical charge is $2,400.00; however, it can cost more if unique
customization is requested. You will have access to all 21 of our
off-the-shelf assessments. In addition, we will add five (5) assessment
credits to each of the 21 assessments (not transferable among
assessments) that you can either sell or use as complimentary
assessments to prospects to get them interested in using your PLS
assessments. This is a US$1200.00 value.
- If we program and private label your custom
assessment, the one time programming fee can vary greatly depending on
your questionnaire, the scoring algorithm, whether it is a multi-rater
assessment and the complexity and formatting of the assessment report –
ballpark quote for most customized assessments is $6,000.00.
- ABC charges a PLS license fee of $100 per month for your
PLS Support. This covers hosting, automatic Private Label Site updates &
upgrades and help desk support for you, your Admin. Accounts and your end
users.
- A per unit assessment usage fee (this is
negotiable, but is typically 20-30% of the retail price of the assessments)
for all assessments used within your Private Label Site. This is billed the
1st of each month for all assessments used within your PLS for the previous
calendar month.
